I Found my Peace in Your Storm

I Found my Peace in Your Storm

There is so much left to learn as I flip through 'your' pages. For everyone, who thinks this is related to the romantic genre, you maybe right. My bestfriend wrote something beautiful and here I would like to pin down a bit more and feel settled. We see stars and draw consolations, in a jiffy! There's a point of time when you feel that few things transcend the line of love, that's when you realize everything around is in the state of irresistible pulchritude and that's romance.

So, here I would like to embrace the idea of the life of people belonging to a small town or as they say the fastest growing town in Jharkhand. Jamshedpur, may be a destination for many, if you're my age and you are crazy about perusing a career in Human Resource Management or Business Management. A small town, right? Undoubtedly, it is. A small town which composes multiple symphonies of 'dream.' Two identities that sit on top of this city, like a crown, The Tata and XLRI! I guess an image has been morphed, right? I was compelled.

This city might not be covered with skyscrapers and myriad lights but trust me blowing winds are the only noise that disturbs the tranquility of this city. Yes, that's how peaceful it is! I have come across a lot of people who think that we did not have 'the privilege' or they lambast our style of living. I wonder why do they think so? Being born and brought in a fast city surely has embellished your lives but it makes us no less or inferior to you. People belonging to a small town have a 'down to earth' perspective. They have enjoyed festivals like no other. People here stand for one another and raise their voices in person before posting them on the social media. A person belonging to a small town will never think of a quid pro quo and will help you in every way possible. You wish to know what makes us reach heights? It is the urge to learn and grow in the most empathetic way possible. We drive change!

There is brouhaha all around when we find these little moments of peace and contemplate, not much, about creating or contributing to the society which is why we find our own ways to resist in the times of turmoil. Every person hailing from metropolitans tries to find an escape and small towns are the 'escape.' Cities like Jamshedpur gives you a space to resuscitate yourself. They show you how communities exist and gatherings happen on a friendly note. A coin always has two sides, but let's focus on the optimistic one. I belief, everyone needs a 'comma' in life not to write literature answers but to unravel a beautiful side of life. I have spent nights, stargazing and thanking the stars for paving a way for my dreams and finding my hours of peace. I won't fall if I can't accomplish them because this city has taught me how 'to stand.' A small town will make you meet with a familiar turn of the corner where you will relive and teach yourself a new thing, always. It's serene here in Jamshedpur, the sky, the people, the schools, the beautiful lanes, the innocence and everything else.

When you feel low and you go out to hit the gym, the weather, the sky, the colours outside, will make you feel better. For the very first time when you come here and see few gates, it will take some time to sink in that your hard work has finally paid off and you would be studying or working in one of the India's finest places. You will find happiness walking down few magical paths to grab a cup of coffee and you will hardly find yourself being late because we don't count kilometres here, everything and every place is easily accessible. You will eventually cut down on some travelling time to sit, smile and slow down a bit. You will trade anything to watch the sunset or sunrise to have a moment of clarity after a string of sleepless nights or back to back PPT presentations. You will find a non-verbal communication when you need it the most. Look at me, it's almost 3 A.M. and I am intending this piece to be purely rhetorical because small towns and the people here deserve it. Coherent enough?

Beckoning green refuge by day, lit party place at night, moments of silence to regain one's composure being on a roller coaster ride, small cities have everything to offer. What would have started with a bunch of anxieties will soon turn into a grand colourful bonanza with the right people, who have an amazing set of moral values, around you. You breathe happily and decide to go wherever you want. Fell in love with city? That is romance for me. Fair deal? The fumes from Tata, the view, may seem dark at first but over the time reminds you of where you are and makes you fall in love with this place and every other small city, everyday!
